about me the maker

My name is Katie and I’m a maker based in South East England in Kent. I have dabbled with many different materials and processes in the last 10 or so years (and continue to this day) but working with clay really grabbed my attention from the moment I started working with it. I see the process of making something that can become engrained in someone’s everyday life and rituals as a real privilege and honour.

I love plating up food on and in lots of different vessels, so that sharing and hosting becomes a real activity and breaks those formal traditional boundaries of being “a host”. I hope that my pieces inspire exactly that kind of hosting, so we can build stronger bonds with each other and really enjoy those little moments together.
